A fantastic two days at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, for our latest Ureteroscopy & PCNL Educational Course supported by HugeMed.
Day one brought together delegates from across the UK for a programme of expert-led lectures, beginning with an update on ureteroscopy and PCNL from Mr Oliver Wiseman, followed by an in-depth session on laser technology and laser physics from Mr Laurian Dragos. The educational discussions continued into the evening, alongside an opportunity to explore the historic city of Cambridge and network with colleagues from around the country.
Day two moved into theatre, where delegates observed a range of live surgical cases, including PCNL, flexible ureteroscopy for stone disease, and a particularly challenging upper tract urothelial cancer case in a horseshoe kidney. The opportunity to see different techniques, technologies, and decision-making processes in real-world practice generated excellent discussion throughout the day. Between cases, Mr Wiseman delivered an engaging session on metabolic stone analysis, sharing practical insights drawn from extensive experience and a clear passion for improving stone disease management.
Thank you to our faculty, Mr Oliver Wiseman and Mr Laurian Dragos, for sharing their expertise, and to all delegates for their engagement and participation. We’d also like to acknowledge the support of our partners, HugeMed, in helping deliver the course.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to welcoming more delegates to future educational events.
