The da Vinci System consists of robotic arms with small, highly maneuverable instruments and a 3D high-definition camera. The surgeon sits at a console and controls the robotic arms while viewing a magnified, high-resolution image of the surgical site.

The system allows for improved range of motion, tremor reduction, and enhanced visualisation, enabling surgeons to perform complex procedures with greater precision.
